Rachel Barnes has a life that most would envy. It could only be described as a Latte Lifestyle.
Her day starts with a leisurely breakfast at her favourite cafe, followed by “lunchtime meetings” with other like minded investors. She arrives back at her immaculately clean home, thanks to the efforts of the housekeeper and then decides whether to eat in or dine out for the third time in the day. In case you hadn’t guessed, Rachel doesn’t like to cook...so eating out is one of her indulgences. However.......it wasn’t always like this.
In her previous life, Rachel worked over 60 hours a week just to make ends meet. She often felt so tired that she wondered if she would ever have time to rest. No matter how hard she worked, she couldn’t get ahead financially. If she kept on this path she would burn out but still be broke. She knew that if she didn’t change, nothing else would. In 2000 Rachel and her partner purchased their first investment property but in 2002 she made a decision which changed her life. A decision that took every last dollar they had available. They invested $15,000 in a course to learn more about property investing. They took action on what they learnt immediately and by mid 2004 Rachel “ditched her day job” forever. Rachel is so passionate about what she and her partner have achieved that she now shares her strategy with other Women.

$700,000 Opportunity Lost
Thalia, from Melbourne has never invested in property in her life, yet she can relate to the importance of buying in the right location.
From 1967 Thalia and her family lived in the suburb of Brighton. In 1973 she decided to sell that property for $30,000 and buy a new house in the neighbouring suburb of Moorabbin for $33,000. By 2003 the Moorabbin house had gained in value and was now worth $230,000. Not bad you might say, until she compared it to Brighton which was worth $500,000.....that’s more than double!! The good news is that Thalia has decided not to let any more of her life slip by. She wants what Rachel is having – She wants to get off the merry go round of simply working harder. She wants to be a property investor. She knows that she’s lacking in knowledge and confidence and says that what she really needs is a “helping hand”.
